Miata versus Porsche GT3 at Willowsprings Raceway
I admit it. I love Porsches! I owned two (not at the same time) when I was stationed in Germany and a wonderful Cayman S sits in our driveway.
While I dearly love Porsches, I also love Mazda Miatas. I bought my first one in 1990 and my second one, a used 2010 MX-5 NC, in 2015, and the Miata’s the car I run in autocross and take to the track.
Why oh why do I love Miatas? Dare I say it? They’re a whole lot cheaper to fix the Miata and I can replace my competition tires for just over $400.00.
That said, I love driving the Cayman and hats off to Porsche for finishing 2-3 in class at the 2019 24 hours of Le Mans.
