P-51 Engine Failure Landing

This post has nothing to do with cars but I flew helicopters during part of my Army career and had two complete engine failures and one partial.

Somehow I ran across this clip on YouTube and at first I though it was a simulation. But, it’s real.

The dialogue is super interesting. Watch the clip and then stick with it as the pilot is interviewed about the incident. Fascinating. Especially his comment about information overload and which of our sensory systems shuts down first.
